This year we are going to Long Lake Outdoor Recreation Center in Hastings, MI

The camp dates are from Sunday, July 30 to Friday, August 4.
All money and forms are due on Monday, July 24!

Luggage and Supply Drop off:
Saturday, July 29 at location TBD

We will meet at South Lyon High School on Sunday, July 30 at 11:00 am.  Girls will be assigned to cars for the trip to Long Lake Recreation Center.  Girls should dress in running clothes, we will be running as soon as we arrive at camp.


  • TBD:  Girls who work the fund raisers will have reduced cost.  Camp money due by July 22.

Required Forms:

Please join the South Lyon Girls Cross Country Team for a week of fun, crafts, team bonding, and of course running! The camp will include a surprise theme for the week, field trips, and much more! It is a great time, especially for Freshmen, who will be able to meet new friends for the coming  school year and get in shape for the fall Cross Country season.

Camp Eligibility Requirements:

As a requirement to attend camp all returning runners must have logged 100 miles by July 29, and all runners new to the team need to have run at least 50. You also need to do a distance run in the presence of coach at a reasonable (determined by the coach) and sustainable pace without stopping. The term reasonable shall be defined by the coach. For returning runners, you need to be able to run the Kensington loop in under an hour and 45 minutes. For new runners, this distance shall not exceed four (4) miles. The cost of camp is as yet, undetermined. The more successful the car wash and Literacy Run, the less expensive camp will be.
